I'm Modeling a Rockerverb through a 100w Orange Pedal Baby Power amp into a 212 Neo creamback , but i feel like I can't really dial in a tone that sounds good. I want to get a lunchbox amp that can be attenuated, has reverb, two channels, and some kind of headphone/di out. ... (more early Marshall vs the 6505mh's hot-rodded Marshall based sound). But the low-end is rounder and softer than that of the V30. So I think for chugga-chugga and rock and stuff, the V30 might be a better choice. But for other styles and some of the moodier stuff you were playing, the Creamback might be a better choice. For example, check out the song "A Stranger," by A Perfect Circle.

The Neo Creamback - It's all About Tone! Posted on. 14th June 2017. The great thing about Neo (Neodymium) magnet speakers is that they don't weigh much. In fact they are much lighter than their ferrite magnet cousins. The subject of this piece - the Neo Creamback - is roughly half the weight of its G12M-65 Creamback brother. Every ounce a Classic Celestion, the Neo Creamback delivers all the magical tone you'd get from a conventional Creamback at around half the weight of a traditional speaker, thanks to its Neodymium magnet. Expect the same low end punch, warm, vocal midrange and sweet highs that made the Creamback famous: push it hard and enjoy the 'race-car. But it would be cool to make the 1x12's even more portable and lightweight, and trying new speakers is always fun. Right now, I have a G12-35XC and a Vox-labeled Chinese Greenback in them. The Greenback sounds fine, but the XC is a bit too fizzy. Kinda like a V30-lite. Celestion Creamback speakers are amongst the most popular speakers that we use in our cabs, but they tend not to be used mixed together. Here we demonstrate. I've had a 1960AX in the past with 4 greenbacks in it, right now there's a creamback 65W (not the 75W, sounds very different) is in my Rocker30 combo. Lead guitar: Juan Ignacio Malagrino. Rhythmic guitar: mariano alvarez cedro. Battery recorded and played by Rober Fighetti at Estudio Neba. I just wonder if it would worked paired with a Hesu Demon or Neo creamback. The Demon imo is a darker G12h 75, when comparing the metal sound samples of those two. The Neo is sort of inbetween 12H. The Creambacks are meant to be replacements for a G12M Greenback or a G12H Anniversary if you need more power handling wattage. If you don't need the additional power handling wattage, go with the G12M Greenback for the M sound or the G12H 30 for the H sound. then you don't need to address any controversy about whether they sound the same. The creamback smoothed out the top end, enriched the lows. I recently did a speaker shootout with the Plus driving the Z12 (in my Z-Lux), the G12H30 (in my Nova), and the Creamback in the Plus. The Plus sounded great with all 3, but I want each of these fine amps to sound unique and different from one another. Creamback stays in the Plus.

I recorded a comparison of Speakers between Celestion Greenback G12M-25 and Celestion Creamback G12M-65 on the main guitar with a Marshall JCM 800 2204 and a Gibson Les Paul Standard Faded 2005. Lead guitar: Juan Ignacio Malagrino. Rhythmic guitar: mariano alvarez cedro. Battery recorded and played by Rober Fighetti at Estudio Neba. With the Cream at 100db sensitivity, the amp is loud as hell at 4. I think it would handle your secondary band just fine. I wanted the amp for the same reason - as a great sounding pedal platform grab and go. And it delivers on that in spades. That's the angle I think fender took with the lighter speaker. . Every ounce a Classic Celestion, the Neo Creamback delivers all the magical tone you'd get from a conventional Creamback at around half the weight of a traditional speaker, thanks to its Neodymium magnet.
